Ajrakh is a block-printed textile that is resist-dyed using natural dyes. including indigo and madder. It is made by Khatris community in Kutch, Gujarat. This dress is mixed with modern Ajrakh dots print with traditional Ajrakh print which has islamic geometric motifs. Shells attached by hand carefully to the straps. A dress of labour and love with the perfect twirl.
The variation in printing and dyeing is a prized characteristic of handcrafted products.
