Bandhani Mirror Indigo Kaftan Dress
Fabric: Handwoven Organic Cotton, dyed using natural indigo.
Product Code: YS22OGBD02
The long-lost traditions of Rabari Tribe Artisans where they make Bandhani without any tracing, the motifs depict their tattoos. It is the oldest form of tie and dye. The craft uses natural dyes like iron rust, indigo, henna, Haldi, and pomegranate peels. The technique involves dyeing a fabric that is tied tightly with a thread at several points, thus producing a variety of patterns and it is then dipped in for a dye bath. While marking the dots of the bandhani with color made from rust iron there is a chance of rust color coming onto the dots or leaving a mark in between, please note these are tie-dye effects and not stains.
Following a zero-waste pattern, these kaftans are made in a free size to reduce waste. The dress has front opening buttons, a detailed placket embroidery, and cuff embroidery. Wear it as a dress, and style it with a belt and tan kohlapuris to complete the look.
The variation in dyeing can't be controlled as each piece is dyed separately.
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS MADE-TO-ORDER PIECE AND CAN'T BE RETURNED OR EXCHANGED. WE NEED 10 WORKING DAYS FOR DISPATCH.
